Storyline
The second South Korea (Shandong) Import Commodity Fair (KSICF) was held in Weihai City of east China’s Shandong Province from Aug 5 to 7, setting up a platform of cooperation for Chinese and foreign enterprises.
With an exhibition area of 35,000 square meters and more than 1,300 booths, this year’s KSICF attracted more than 780 enterprises from more than 20 countries and regions including Japan, Russia, Southeast Asia and Africa. The products at the expo covered food, cosmetics, fashion life and other fields.
The fair set up themed exhibition areas such as “the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and the Republic of Korea (ROK)”, “the Belt and Road and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization”.
During the fair, more than 20 themed activities such as the China-ROK (Weihai) Talent Exchange and Cooperation Conference were also held.
The fair not only sets up a product display platform, but also provides a platform of cooperation for Chinese and foreign enterprises. At the opening ceremony alone, 15 key projects were signed, including friendly cooperation between departments, port logistics upgrading, technical personnel introduction, cross-border e-commerce, advanced equipment manufacturing, new generation information technology and other fields, with a total investment of more than six billion yuan (about 887.29 million U.S. dollars), driving the import and export value of nearly 10 billion yuan (about 1.48 billion U.S. dollars).
