Storyline
China has signed Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) agreements with 22 economies, including Singapore and the European Union, covering 48 countries and regions, ranking first in the world in terms of the number of the agreements by the end of June this year.
Also, China has reached agreements with the most countries on mutual recognition of AEO worldwide.
The AEO system, initiated by the World Customs Organization, aims at facilitating customs clearance for enterprises through the authentication by customs of enterprises with a high level of law compliance, credit status and safety.
At present, the import and export volume of Chinese AEO enterprises to other AEO countries and regions accounts for about 60 percent of their total import and export volume.
