Storyline
Chinese President Xi Jinping and foreign guests greeted representatives of veterans ahead of a grand gathering in Tian’anmen Square to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
President Xi and foreign guests shook hands with the veterans of the War of Resistance who have been invited to observe the gathering.
Wednesday’s commemorations also include a military parade of 45 formations and echelons.
