China will develop new quality productive forces in light of local conditions and accelerate the development of a modernized industrial system, according to a government work report submitted Wednesday to the National People’s Congress (NPC) for deliberation.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang delivered the report on behalf of the State Council at the opening meeting of the third session of the 14th NPC, held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Wednesday morning.
“China will develop new quality productive forces in light of local conditions and accelerate the development of a modernized industrial system. We will foster emerging industries and industries of the future. We will advance integrated and clustered development of strategic emerging industries, carry out demonstration initiatives on the large-scale application of new technologies, products, and scenarios.
