A number of key takeaways of the upcoming 2024 Spring Festival Chinese Opera Gala hosted by China Media Group (CMG) were unveiled at a press conference on Monday.
Bringing together more than 20 traditional opera genres, 60-plus troupes, and 100 odd opera performers from across the country, this gala promises a magnificent showcase of the nation’s rich cultural heritage.
Through diverse performances, it will transport opera enthusiasts to a vibrant world of captivating stories and eternal charm.
With 11 main programs, the gala will present a perfect blend of legendary opera icons and talented newcomers, offering a mesmerizing combination of classic and contemporary contents.
From immersive theater performance to visually stunning productions inspired by ancient civilizations, combined with intangible cultural heritage factors and breathtaking dramas, the gala prepares a kaleidoscope of colors and emotions.
Filmed in the city of Deyang, Sichuan Province in southwest China, the 2024 Spring Festival Chinese Opera Gala embraces an open-air venue and a dynamic ancient opera stage, creating an immersive and energetic atmosphere.
