Storyline

Nearly 3.408 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses had been administered on the Chinese mainland as of Saturday, the National Health Commission said on Sunday.

Specifically, 3,407,945,000 doses had been administered by Saturday in the 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the mainland, the Commission’s daily report showed.

The Chinese mainland on Saturday reported 101 new COVID-19 cases, including 65 local infections and 36 imported cases.

In addition, the Chinese mainland on Saturday reported 319 new asymptomatic cases, with 279 local and 40 imported infections.
